With a commanding 102-run victory over Sri Lanka, New Zealand kept their chances of making the Women’s T20 World Cup semi-finals alive.
Suzie Bates scored 56 from 49 while Amelia Kerr smashed 66 from 48 balls to help New Zealand score 162-3 in Paarl.
In response, Sri Lanka lost all six of its wickets and was out for 60.
The victory puts New Zealand in second position in Group 1, but if South Africa defeats Bangladesh on Tuesday, they will overtake them and guarantee a spot in the semifinals.
More will come.
