Daniil Medvedev of Russia easily defeated Andrey Rublev of Russia to win the Dubai Tennis Tournament and carry on his outstanding run of success.

After wins in Doha and Rotterdam, the 27-year-old defeated the incumbent champion 6-2 6-2 to win three straight titles.

Starting strong, Medvedev defeated his opponent in the first game.

He stayed focused, going 14 games without losing, to win his 18th tour-level championship.

In the semifinal match on Friday, the former world number one ended Novak Djokovic’s undefeated start to the season. She had not dropped a set all week.
