Susie Wolff of F1 Academy claims that the new show will expand the pool of female talent and “open doors to F1.”

Before Formula 1 chairman Stefano Domenicali approached Susie Wolff about leading the new Academy designed to pave the way for women to the pinnacle of the sport, she was considering pursuing a career outside of motorsport.

Wolff has dedicated her career to showing that women can compete at the highest level of motorsport and to finding solutions to that problem.

She is optimistic that the new show would “create a location where young ladies can see a route, an affordable one” to begin their ascent to the top.

Wolff claims that taking control of it was an opportunity too good to pass up. In the end, she claims, it was something she felt compelled to do.
