San Fernando Valley Elections for Community Councils: Have you considered running for a neighborhood council? There is a filing period for the “Selection” process for the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council from now through February 16 (details are available at www.chatsworthcouncil.org/2023-selection). Additionally, if you have a stake in any of these nine councils—Arleta, Foothill Trails District, Mission Hills, North Hills East, Pacoima, Panorama City, Sunland-Tujunga, Sun Valley Area, and Sylmar—you have until February 3 to file your petition (filing closes for these councils on March 20). The Northridge Woman’s Club is now accepting membership applications. The woman’s club is a civic, charitable, and social organization that supports the neighborhood through monetary and in-person donations.
