The tourists reached 326-7 at Mirpur thanks to the opener’s 12th ODI ton and a composed 76 from captain Jos Buttler.
Despite Shakib Al Hasan’s valiant fifty, Sam Curran soon reduced Bangladesh to 9-3 in the chase, and the hosts faltered to 194 all out.
Leg-spinner Adil Rashid impressed once more by removing Shakib in 4-45.
As Curran returned to complete the task, he finished with figures of 4-29, giving England a 2-0 advantage going into the final ODI on Monday.
