Henry Slade is included in Steve Borthwick’s 36-man squad for England vs. Italy.

Following his injury recovery, Henry Slade has been added to England’s 36-man squad as they get ready to meet Italy in the Six Nations.

The 29-year-old center withdrew from England’s team prior to last week’s loss to Scotland due to a hip injury he acquired in Exeter’s victory against Castres.

London Irish winger Henry Arundell, who has recovered from a foot issue, is also included in the team.

Courtney Lawes, a seasoned forward, is also in the group.

Speaking points from the Six Nations following a thrilling weekend England “weren’t excellent at anything” in the fall, says Borthwick
Vice-captain Lawes, who was not named among the 36, is unlikely to play the Azzurri, but head coach Steve Borthwick is keeping him on the field while he recovers from a calf injury.

When England plays Italy at Twickenham on Sunday, they will be attempting to recover from their opening-round loss to Scotland.

Later this week, when he releases his matchday 23, Borthwick will make additional cuts to his team.
