Gunman accused in fatal Bronx shooting, according to NYPD

Another man was killed on a Bronx street by a gunman, who has been prosecuted and is believed to have been 17 at the time.

Elijah Dukuray was shot on the night of November 24 at E. 223rd St. and Bronxwood Ave. in Wakefield, according to police. The gunman, whose name was withheld because he was a minor at the time of the crime, did not have a criminal record. Since the crime, the suspect turned 18 years old.

Despite being taken to Jacobi Medical Center after being struck in the neck, the victim was not able to be saved.

The NYPD published images of a car connected to the shooting four days later.

However, the culprit wasn’t apprehended until Thursday, when he handed himself in and was accused of murder, manslaughter, and possession of weapons.
