Following Sunday’s away game against Tottenham, a man has been accused with attacking Arsenal goalie Aaron Ramsdale.
He is accused of hitting someone, entering a space next to a play area, and hurling a projectile onto a football field, according to the Metropolitan Police.
On February 17, Joseph Watts, a 35-year-old resident of Hackney, is scheduled to appear in court at Highbury.
Ramsdale played a key role in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory in the north London derby.
The Sunday’s opponents, Spurs, have helped the Met’s football investigative squad with their inquiries.
The Professional Footballers’ Association and the Football Association both denounced the act, and Tottenham said that the fan would get “an instant ban.”
